So.....I have a lot of jewelry.
It's my thing now.
I can't get enough of it.
The bigger the better.
I also have a super cute, yet very teeny, jewelry stand. I LOVE it, but with how much jewelry I have, it just clusters everything together and only fits about 2/3 of my stuff.
I needed a change!
I decided to make my own framed jewelry holder! This was my first attempt at something like this and I must say, that I'm quite proud of myself!
Materials needed:
Wood frame {I found mine at Michaels}
Mod Podge
Sponge brush
Little hooky thingies {ok c'mon, I already threw away the box and can't remember what they are called!}
Spray paint {to match fabric and paint the not so pretty gold hooky thingies}
Fat quarter of super cute fabric
Scissors
Some sort of netting. I have some super skinny mesh/wire stuff on here but actually ended up using window screen!
First I spray painted my little hooky thingies so that they would have plenty of time to dry. Then I mod podged the fabric onto the frame and then cut a small square out of the center of it and then mod podged that onto the back of the frame. Then I used a stapler {a nice heavy duty one} to attach the window screen onto the back of the frame. Once my hooks were dry, I simply measured and twisted them into the frame by hand.
Side note: I actually attached a little frame hook to the back but didn't end up needing it because the back of my frame has a little lip that I just used to hang it on the wall!
And Voila! Now I can see ALL of my jewelry! I have rings on the top, necklaces and headbands on the bottom, bracelets and flower clips on the sides and earrings in the center!
